G4 Tequila
The world of premium tequila is transforming the spirits industry, reflecting a growing appreciation for authentic and sustainable production methods. In this blog, we delve into the craftsmanship of G4 Tequila, contrasting its innovative techniques with traditional practices. We also highlight the rich heritage of tequila-making in the renowned region of Los Altos de Jalisco. Learn more about this spirit that stands unadulterated by time and uncompromised by innovation at Pascale's Wine and Liquors,
105 Towne Drive, Fayetteville, NY 13066
.
What Is G4 Tequila
The inception of G4 Tequila is a story steeped in tradition and innovation, with a lineage that spans four generations of master distillers. The Camarena family, renowned for their tequila-making expertise, has been crafting premium tequila in Los Altos de Jalisco since 1937. Today, Felipe Camarena, along with his sons Luis Felipe and Alan, continue this legacy at the El Pandillo distillery, known for its sustainable and innovative practices.
G4 Tequila is crafted using 100% estate-grown blue agave, harvested at peak maturity to ensure the highest quality. The agave is grown on the family ranch, which also features citrus and cherry orchards. The tequila is distilled using traditional copper stills and is fermented in wood tanks, which impart unique flavors to the spirit. Additionally, G4 Tequila is produced using a blend of pure rainwater and natural spring water, contributing to its distinctive taste and aroma.
The Founding of G4 Tequila
The inception of g4 Tequila can be credited to Felipe Camarena, a master distiller descending from a family with a history that's so deeply rooted in Mexico's tequila industry. Focused on creating a tequila that honors his family's legacy of quality and authenticity, Camarena established the El Pandillo Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico that to this day produces G4 Tequila.
G4 Tequila Varieties
The brand's main product line consists of four carefully curated varieties: blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo.
G4 Tequila Blanco
Celebrated for its purity and essence, G4 Tequila Blanco is a true representation of unaged tequila at its best. Distilled solely from the finest blue weber agave, G4 Tequila Blanco is bottled directly after distillation, showcasing a crystal-clear appearance and crisp agave-forward taste.

G4 Tequila Reposado
Resting for at least 6 months in bourbon barrels, the Reposado from G4 Tequila strikes an exquisite balance between the raw spirit's vibrancy and the refined character gained through aging.

It offers an aromatic bouquet where the peppery and citrusy notes of the agave harmoniously mingle with oak.

The G4 Tequila Reposado presents a round and creamy profile.

G4 Tequila Extra Añejo
The G4 Tequila Extra Añejo is the epitome of luxury. Aged for a minimum of 3 years in oak barrels, it acquires a deep amber color and an exceptionally rich and complex profile.

G4 Tequila Dia De Los Muertos
G4 Tequila Dia De Los Muertos Edition is a unique and limited-release tequila that honors the traditional Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos. This special edition includes only 5,000 hand-numbered bottles, making it a highly sought-after item for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Each bottle is presented in a custom-designed coffin box adorned with one of three distinct badge designs, adding to its exclusivity and charm.
This edition of G4 Tequila is a Reposado that has been aged for seven months in vintage George Dickel American whiskey barrels. The tequila is fully fermented in new Pine Wood tanks, a departure from the traditional steel, which imparts a unique flavor profile to the spirit. The use of well water and the specific aging process contribute to its rich, complex taste.
Tasting notes for this exceptional tequila include semi-sweet barrel notes, roasted agave, white pepper, and spices, all culminating in a long, soft finish.
G4 Madera Tequila
G4 Madera Tequila is another premium offering from the renowned G4 brand, crafted in the highlands of Jalisco. This tequila is produced at the La Pandillo Distillery using traditional methods combined with innovative techniques to create a spirit that is both authentic and exceptional.
The Madera Tequila is aged in nearly ancient George Dickel whiskey barrels, a process that imbues the tequila with a distinctive character. The fermentation in wood, rather than the more common steel, adds depth and a unique flavor profile to the tequila, making it stand out in the world of premium spirits.
Unique Characteristics of G4 Madera Tequila
G4 Madera Tequila possesses a number of singular characteristics that distinguish it from other tequilas on the market:
Wood Selection: "Madera" is Spanish for wood which is a highlight of this line. G4 Madera Tequila is aged in a combination of new and used American oak barrels, which imparts distinct flavors and complexities to the tequila.
Water Blending Method: G4 Madera employs a distinctive blend of rainwater and spring water in its production process that imparts a blanace of softness and purity to the tequila that is immediately noticeable upon tasting.
G4 Tequila Reviews
G4 Tequila has received praise from both experts and consumers for its distinct character and taste. This brand is also multi-awarded with double gold medals and master medal awards for their anejo, reposado, and blanco lines, distinctions given to it by international award giving bodies - recognitions that underscore its status as a top-tier tequila.
The G4 Tequila Price
Compared to mass-produced tequilas, G4 is on the higher end of the price spectrum, but it is not the most expensive tequila available with a price range falling within $40 to $150. All this considered, G4 is more than reasonably priced given its quality, craftsmanship, and the reputation of the distillery.
